I wouldn't ever buy a stone sight unseen. Let me check around.

These get you very close to 1ct and are nicely cut (not perfect but solid options). For your budget I'd drop to I/SI1.

As a note, ct weight doesn't matter--dimensions (mm size) does. So pay attention to that when comparing. In theory a 1ct diamond is 6.5mm, and at .2mm there CAN be a visual difference. I tried to stay at or above 6.2mm

Hugely magnified. If you click the "view real size" button you'll see the size on someone's finger.

What’s the deal with this one? Is it mainly IGI vs. GIA affecting the cost?

IGI and it has faint Yellow Green noted on certificate and green hue is discounted.... That said with all the colorless Lab stones these days it's obviously a natural stone which is what your looking for (green is caused by radiation / exposure to Uranium) and the price is nice....

The cut isn't ideal and the yellow/green hue isn't great

yes it only gets a 3.3 on HCA
on the other hand can buy at B2C $2354 - can always upgrade in the future and the low cost basis is a plus....
